Please join us on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 1pm on Sea Shell Beach (West Beach) for our first annual Sea Shells Semana Nautica Alumni Regatta. We invite anyone who has been a member of Sea Shells in a prior year—as a child or as a parent—to race with us on this special day. Others are encouraged to come and support the action as well. July 2nd is a normal race day for us. However, we will be replacing our normal parent race with two races for Sea Shells alumni on this day. We will use boats borrowed from current members—both O’Pen Skiffs, US Sabots, and potentially RS Teras, depending on the interest from alumni.
We ask that alumni who are interested in participating make at least a $50 donation to the organization to reserve an opportunity to race. We are not sure how much participation to expect, so we may not be able to accommodate all who wish to race. Boats will be assigned through a random drawing, with participation priority given to those who sign up and pay online first. A trophy will be awarded to the top alumni skipper from the event based on finishing place(s) and/or time ahead of the next boat.

Use the “Donate Here” button below to make your donation of at least $50, and make sure to include your name with reference to Alumni Regatta so we can keep track of your timely sign up. Advance registration will close on Friday, June 30 at 9am. Since this is our first year for the Alumni Regatta, we appreciate your patience while we learn how best to run this event.
